Dear Friends,

 

I have taken over as Chief General Manager Haryana Telecom Circle on 21.08.2008. I am proud of my team members, who have put in their best and are always available to provide State of Art Telecom Services to the customers of Haryana. Haryana Circle has progressed tremendously with the concerted efforts of the team members, and the performance of the Circle has been declared as ‘The best’ amongst all the circles in terms of revenue growth, as compared to the last year and also for gaining maximum market share in respect of Mobile connections.  Some of the other the salient achievements have been indicated below:

 

BSNL Haryana has registered the highest growth of 17% over the last year revenue in Mobile Services. We have also shown a positive market share growth of 4.5% over the last year despite fierce competition in the market.

 

We continues to hold 1st position as an operator with total number of telephone connections and also  the 2nd position in total number of mobile connections in its License area since November,09 as per the per Tele-density and Market Share.

 

Further this year we could provide 8.4 lakh GSM Connections as compared to the last year figure of 4 lakh connections i.e. the growth rate of 205% GSM connections in the Circle, which can be considered as one of the major achievement in this competitive environment.

 

Telecom facility has been extended to all the Panchayat villages in Haryana

 

Similarly we have launched the Project Udaan in all the SSAs and the contribution made by the team members is appreciable. This project is mainly for the utmost convenience of the customers. Our project team member is visiting the customer on a single phone call to solve the Telecom requirements of any of the customer.

 

Till date we were concentrating more on Customer Care and accordingly, we have extended the facility of Call Centre for all the services for the convenience of the Customers. We will further concentrate to make the Call Centre facility more convenient as well as customer friendly.

 

We have launched Black Berry services, Pre-paid Braoadband & Wi-Max Services in Haryana. I hope that the customers will definitely enjoy these services.

 

In addition to above, we have set our targets to provide all type of the telecom services as per the convenience of the customer in the near future. Special drive has been lauched for the first three months to improve the Quality of Services and Special Drive for the next 3 months shall be to improve the Customer interface for the better satisfaction of our esteemed customers.

 

Further we are also concerned about the issues of general interest in addition to our Telecom Activities like Environmental consciousness. By adopting various Energy Conservations measures and we could save about Rs 63 lacs during 2009-10 mainly due to active participation of all the staff members. Winning of both 1st & 2nd Prizes in the field of Energy Conservation constituted by HAREDA is remarkable. CGMTs office compound has also been awarded as BEE 2 Star {**} rating in terms of Energy Efficient Buildings.

 

We are committed towards the Corporate Social Responsibility. One Ambulances has been donated to Civil Hospital Gurgaon and the second Ambulance is being donated to Ambala Civil Hospital shortly.  Similarly 8 Computers alongwith Printers and Internet facility have been donated to the Schools for orphanages or mentally retarded children, 5 more Computers will be donated shortly.
